SUMMARY:
Assists in the day-to-day operations of the Micro-Lab to ensure aseptically collected and prepared samples of various microbial and chemical analyses using established procedures and techniques. Duties include evaluating and verifying sample results and data entry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Aseptically collect and prepare samples for various microbial and chemical analysis
- Perform laboratory analysis using established procedures and techniques
- Evaluate and verify sample results and data entry
- Insure safety, housekeeping, and compliance standards are maintained
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college (preferably in a science-related field); or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE:
Understanding of basic laboratory techniques is preferred.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:
Valid Driver’s license.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents in the English language, such as laboratory protocols, safety rules, and procedure manuals. Strong written and oral communication skills.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to apply mathematical applications to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to interpret various instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must be proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook). Must be able to work as a team member and individually complete given tasks. Must be organized and detail-oriented.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to move about the facility.
