Mental Health Counselor

Job description:

Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and motivated Mental Health Therapist to join our team on a part-time basis up to 25 sessions a week. This is a hybrid position delivering services in person and through telehealth. The ideal candidate will have a background in working with children and adolescents, and has some training in trauma informed care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual therapy to children and adolescents using evidence-based approaches
• Conduct both in-person and telehealth therapy sessions in a professional and engaging manner
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Collaborate with caregivers, families, and other professionals as appropriate
• Uphold ethical and legal standards of practice

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related mental health field
• Current licensure (or working toward licensure) in the applicable state
• Training and/or experience in play therapy required
• Experience working with children and adolescents
• Demonstrated experience working with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
• Comfort and proficiency with telehealth platforms

Preferred Qualifications:

• Registered Play Therapist (RPT) or working toward certification
• Experience collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Knowledge of additional therapeutic modalities (CBT, DBT, etc.)
