Triton Systems is seeking a Composites/Project Engineer with structural, fiber-reinforced polymer composites knowledge and experience in design and manufacturing. Should have a strong background in innovative research and development and a desire to create exciting new products. Triton's diverse set of projects will give you experience across the product development cycle and allow you to shine in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Project management and technical leadership
- Presentation of results to customers (written and oral)
- Supervision and development of new technologies through research and development
- Business development through customer relationships and proposal writing
- Management of external partners and suppliers
- Recognizing and solving complex problems
- Project level ideation and technical development
Qualifications:
- Hands-on experimental and fabrication experience with polymer matrix composites
- Experience in fiber architecture and matrix choice in design for structural fiber-reinforced polymer matrix composites to meet thermomechanical property requirements
- Industrial experience in (carbon-fiber/glass-fiber reinforced) polymer composites manufacturing needed.
- Familiarity with fiber composites modeling
- Technical writing and proposal experience
Education/Experience:
- BS in Materials, Composites, Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering. Advanced degree is a plus.
- 7-10 years of experience working in (carbon-fiber/glass-fiber reinforced) polymer composites.
- Ability to execute engineering and design of structural fiber-reinforced composite materials
- Knowledge of matrix resin chemistries
- Experience managing technical teams and directing projects
- Writing experience a plus
