Triton High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Head Golf Coach to lead and develop our golf program. The successful candidate will promote student-athlete growth, sportsmanship, teamwork, and competitive excellence while supporting the mission and values of Triton Regional School District and Triton Athletics.
The Head Golf Coach will oversee all aspects of the program, including skill development, practice planning, match preparation, communication with families, and fostering a positive team culture that emphasizes character, accountability, and academic success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Program Leadership
- Lead and supervise all aspects of the Triton High School golf program
- Establish a positive, inclusive, and team-oriented culture
- Promote sportsmanship, integrity, leadership, and respect on and off the course
- Serve as a positive role model for student-athletes
Coaching Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct effective practices focused on skill development and course management
- Teach golf fundamentals, rules, etiquette, and competitive strategies
- Develop student-athletes of varying skill levels
- Prepare athletes for league and postseason competition
- Encourage continuous improvement and confidence-building among players
Communication and Organization
- Maintain clear and professional communication with athletes, parents, administration, and staff. Coordinate schedules, match logistics, transportation, and equipment needs
- Monitor athlete eligibility and support academic success
- Attend required athletic department and league meetings
Compliance and Safety
- Ensure compliance with MIAA, Cape Ann League, district, and athletic department policies
- Maintain a safe environment during practices and competitions
- Complete all required certifications, trainings, and background checks
Community Engagement
- Represent Triton High School and Triton Athletics in a professional manner
- Support athletic department initiatives and community engagement efforts
- Encourage school pride and positive relationships within the Triton community
