Dispatcher Assistant

Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Dispatch Assistant. As a key member of our logistics and supply chain department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient transportation of goods from one location to another. This is a crucial role that requires excellent communication skills, the ability to multi-task, and a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the dispatch of goods according to customer orders and delivery schedules.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, and other departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
• Monitor and track shipments, providing updates to relevant parties as needed.
• Assess potential risks and resolve any logistics issues that may arise during transit.
• Assist in the preparation of shipping documentation, including bills of lading and export/import documentation.
• Coordinate special requests or requirements for specific shipments, such as hazardous materials or temperature-controlled goods.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, ensuring all necessary information is logged and filed appropriately.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience in a similar role within the logistics and supply chain industry
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail
• Familiarity with transportation regulations and industry best practices
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
