We are known for our strong field procedures, responsiveness, and hands-on technical expertise.We are seeking an IT Field Technician to join our team, someone who is technically capable, reliable in the field, and interested in learning and growing with the company.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, implement, and support new and existing technology solutions for customersProvide onsite support for POS retail systems and related peripheralsInstall and configure network infrastructure including routers, switches, and wireless access pointsPerform basic telephony work, including:Using a butt set to identify analog phone linesCross-connecting lines from 66 blocks to phone systemsAct as “smart hands” onsite to assist remote support engineersInstall, remove, and replace hardware components in desktops, laptops, and other IT equipmentInstall, configure, and remove software on PCs and laptopsRun, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling, including:Cat6CoaxialRJ45 / RJ11RG6BNCDocument work performed and follow internal processes and proceduresRequirementsMust have a basic personal toolkit (additional tools will be provided)Willing and able to travel to multiple customer locations throughout the dayAbility to follow troubleshooting steps and work independently when requiredStrong multitasking skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environmentAbility and willingness to lift up to 50 lbsStrong interpersonal and communication skills, including professional customer interactionUnderstanding of IT support tools, techniques, and field service workflowsSelf-motivated with a strong work ethic and attention to detailVehicle & Travel RequirementsReliable personal vehicle required for travel to customer sitesWork is primarily within the New York City (NYC) area, with occasional travel outside the city as neededThis position includes a monthly vehicle allowance for use of a personal vehicle during work hoursJob-related tolls and parking are reimbursedMileage reimbursement may apply for extended travel outside the local service areaValid driver’s license and proof of insurance requiredWhat We OfferCompetitive pay based on experienceMonthly car allowanceReimbursement for job-related tolls and parkingOpportunity to learn, grow, and advance within the companyExposure to a wide range of IT, POS, networking, and field technologies
