Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Salesperson role based in Tacoma, WA. The Salesperson will be responsible for generating and managing leads, conducting in-home and on-site consultations, and presenting roofing and home improvement solutions tailored to customer needs. Daily tasks include following up on company-generated leads, prospecting in local neighborhoods, preparing estimates, and clearly explaining product options, warranties, and financing programs. The role involves building and maintaining strong customer relationships, coordinating with operations and installation teams to ensure a smooth project handoff, and providing ongoing support through project completion. The Salesperson will also be expected to meet or exceed individual sales targets, maintain accurate records in the CRM, attend team meetings and training, and represent TriState Roofing professionally in the community.
Qualifications
- Proven skills in residential or B2C sales, with experience in home improvement, construction, or roofing sales strongly preferred.
- Ability to conduct thorough on-site inspections, take accurate measurements, and translate technical findings into clear recommendations for customers.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trust, handle objections, and close deals ethically.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills, including managing multiple leads, appointments, and follow-ups using CRM or similar tools.
- Comfort working in the field, including visiting job sites, climbing ladders when necessary, and working in various weather conditions (with provided safety training and equipment).
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service, detailed explanations, and timely responses to questions or concerns.
- Basic math and computer literacy, including the ability to prepare estimates, use digital tools, and complete electronic documentation accurately.
- High level of integrity, reliability, and professionalism; able to work both independently and as part of a team in a performance-driven environment.
