Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Survey/CADD Technician. This individual will be working alongside the professional land surveyors in analyzing survey data and drafting various types of survey maps and as-built plans. Preferred qualifications include:
- Prior experience in drafting, or recent graduate with excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD software
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Strong verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-starter with a curious nature and a strong desire to learn
- Valid Driver’s License
- Candidates must be based in the United States and must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future sponsorship
- Associate’s Degree in either Land Surveying, Civil Engineering or related discipline (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- The Survey CADD Technician is responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans using specialized computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) software
- This role involves collaborating with surveyors and engineers to develop and revise designs, ensuring all drawings comply with industry standards and regulations
- Prepare survey drawings including, but not limited to Boundary, Right of Way, Topographic and As-Built Surveys
- 2D/3D Drafting, Point Cloud data extraction, 3D modelling
- Perform research for utility records, survey maps and property deeds
- Assisting project managers on an as needed basis and working on multiple projects
- Adhere to company and client CADD standards
