Vinyl Installer / Sign Installation Technician

Tristate Graphics is looking for a hardworking, detail-oriented Vinyl Installer / Sign Installation Technician to join our growing Wide Format and Sign Division.
This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, and seeing the results of their work throughout the community. If you hate sitting behind a desk all day and would rather be building, installing, creating, and working outdoors, this may be the perfect fit.
Our sign division has experienced tremendous growth, and we're looking for someone who wants to grow with us.
What You'll Do
No two days are exactly the same. Responsibilities may include:
- Installing vinyl graphics on windows, walls, vehicles, signs, and other surfaces
- Assisting with vehicle wraps and graphic installations
- Building sign frames and preparing installation materials
- Digging post holes and setting sign posts
- Loading and unloading materials and equipment
- Preparing jobs for installation
- Using hand tools, power tools, ladders, and lifts safely
- Operating company vehicles and transporting materials to job sites
- Working with the production team to ensure projects are completed accurately and on time
- Helping wherever needed to get the job done

The ideal candidate:
- Has strong attention to detail and takes pride in quality workmanship
- Is mechanically inclined and comfortable using hand and power tools
- Enjoys working both indoors and outdoors
- Doesn't mind getting dirty, sweaty, or working in varying weather conditions
- Can stand, bend, kneel, climb, lift, and move throughout the day
- Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Is a self-starter who proactively looks for solutions instead of waiting to be told what to do
- Understands that sometimes it takes extra effort to meet customer deadlines
- Can see both the small details and the big picture
- Takes ownership of their work and cares about the finished product
- Works well independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
The following experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right person with the right attitude and aptitude.
- Vinyl installation
- Vehicle wraps
- Sign installation
- Construction or carpentry
- Welding or metal fabrication
- General trades experience
- Operating lifts, ladders, and job-site equipment
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to work safely on ladders and lifts
- Ability to work outdoors in Alabama heat and varying weather conditions
- Ability to occasionally work overtime when needed to meet customer deadlines
Schedule
- Monday – Thursday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday: 7:30 AM – 1:00 PM
- Friday closing rotation approximately every 6–8 weeks
- Occasional overtime as needed
