Job Summary And Qualifications
The Plant Operator is responsible for the daily operations of the facility’s central energy plant, and the main plumbing, electrical, and HVAC system. Utilizing a working knowledge of boilers, chillers, and other plant equipment, the plant Operator ensures the plant consistently runs efficiently, safely, and smoothly.

Job Summary And Qualifications
The Plant Operator is responsible for the daily operations of the facility’s central energy plant, and the main plumbing, electrical, and HVAC system. Utilizing a working knowledge of boilers, chillers, and other plant equipment, the plant Operator ensures the plant consistently runs efficiently, safely, and smoothly.
What you will do in this role:
- You will operate boilers in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring proper water chemistry, alternative fuel operations, and safety equipment functionality.
- You will operate the chiller plant in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring proper operating pressures, temperature differentials, and water chemistry.
- You will operate medical gas source equipment in a safe and efficient manner ensuring proper operating parameters, equal equipment run times, and safety equipment functionality.
- You will operate air distribution equipment (AHUs) in a safe efficient manner, ensuring proper air pressurization, space temperatures, and equipment cleanliness.
- You will interact with facility management leadership for reporting.
- You will monitor the plant equipment to ensure it remains in optimal working order, and repair or replace equipment as it becomes necessary.
- Bachelor’s Degree in the engineering-related field or Associates’ Degree in engineering-related field or trade/technical certification
- 3 years of experience in Plant Operations
- High school diploma or GED, 5 years’ experience in Plant Operations - Required
- Experience in Plant Operations in an acute care setting - Required
