Job Summary And Qualifications
The Lead CT Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures ordered by the physician. Lead CT technologist are responsible for day-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic environment. Serve as role models and clinical resource for the staff. Respond in a timely manner to requests for information or follow-up with director/manager, physician, staff or patient issues.
What you will do in this role:
- Assure adequate staffing according to volume, flexing when necessary.
- Coordinates daily technologist assignments.
- Assures that all exams are completed and put in take status.
- Operates all department equipment safely and properly
- Teaches and mentors radiology students
- Implements proper exposure techniques and positioning.
- Demonstrates knowledge of drugs, their actions, side effects and contraindications for administration.
- Helps manages supplies in a cost-effective manner.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited 24-month Radiological Technology Program.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- (ARRT-CT) Computed Tomography
- (ARRT-R) Radiography Certificate
- 2 years experience Required Years of Experience
