Job Summary And Qualifications
As the Medical Technologist Lead, you will assistthe Lab department Supervisor with managing the technical operations of their department.
What you will do in this role:
You will review Quality Control and Calibration,facilitatethe trainingscheduleand competencies for the department staff.
You will manage the Proficiency testing for the department, and other duties, as assigned by the department Supervisor.
You willbe responsible forspecimen processing, testperformanceand reporting test results.
What qualifications you will need:
Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science or Biological, Chemical or Physical Science –required
National Certification as an MT(ASCP), MT(AMT) or MT(AAB)required
Demonstrated education, training,experienceand technical abilities in each of the required areas of expertise
Interpersonal skills to successfully interact with all co-workers, staff, patients, patientfamiliesand vendors
Proficient computer skills,i.e.ability toutilizeMicrosoft Word, Excel, and other programs for creating reports.
