TriStar Beverage is seeking individuals interested in a professional Delivery Representative career through an on-the-job training opportunity to obtain a Class A CDL.
The Delivery Helper will assist and/or perform the tasks required of a Delivery Representative. Duties include unloading each retailer’s order and placing it in the designated area, filling all coolers and shelves, and straightening all products in the retail space, among other duties. This is physically demanding work due to the weight of beverage products and the volume of product that goes out for delivery each day, and requires the ability to lift up to 70 pounds repetitiously and manipulate (push/pull) heavier weights, such as kegs of beer weighing approximately 162lbs.
Delivery Helpers are required to obtain a CDL learner permit during the first 90 days of employment and will be considered for a pay increase at that time. Applicants who already have a CDL learner permit at the time of application will receive priority consideration and a higher rate of pay.
This is a full-time regular position, Monday through Friday, starting at 5 a.m. and ending when all deliveries are completed. You get paid while you train!
Familiarity with the local market and surrounding areas is a plus. The ideal candidate will be a true “people person" with a strong commitment to excellent customer service who will enjoy being out in the trade with the customers and taking care of their product delivery needs. The Delivery Helper represents the Company, so professional appearance and conduct are required.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing , bending and reaching
- Lifting items ranging from 15lbs (a case of 24 12oz cans) up to 162lbs (one full keg)
- Manual dexterity, coordination, and mobility
- Combination of driving/moving/walking - up to 12 hours/day
- Manipulate kegs up to 160-180lbs

- Drive in an enclosed truck on a daily basis
- Exposure to the elements (hot/cold temps, rain, snow, etc.)
- May have to get into cramped/small areas to reach work spaces
- May be exposed to other conditions such as stairs, curbs, gravel, etc.

SAFETY
Due to the physical requirements, as well as the need to maintain a high level of continual alertness in the work environment, this is a safety-sensitive position. Attend safety training meetings, participate in safety training exercises/drills/ Complete all assigned safety training as required, which may include incident/accident corrective training, equipment recertification, and safety knowledge assessments.
Qualifications:The following factors, among others, will be considered when selecting the successful candidate(s) for this position:
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 infractions
- Ability to lift and move items ranging from 15lbs (a case of 24 12-oz. cans) to 58lbs (small keg) and manipulate/handle up to 162lbs (large keg)
