IT Infrastructure Project Manager

Location: Remote with occasional onsite meetings (Greater Milwaukee WI.)

Trissential is hiring an IT Infrastructure Project Manager to join our client’s team and lead high-impact infrastructure projects across multiple sites. This remote role, with occasional onsite meetings, is ideal for someone who thrives in autonomous environments and has deep expertise in network build and lifecycle management, datacenter buildouts and upgrades, new site construction and infrastructure modernization.

Your Role & Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex infrastructure projects including network buildouts & refreshes, automation, and datacenter upgrades
• Oversee project financials, timelines, and deliverables
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure accountability
• Manage infrastructure across multiple sites including firewall and NTP systems
• Plan and support potential fiber installations and AV upgrades
• Track and report project progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders
• Ensure alignment with strategic goals and technical standards
• Utilize MS Teams for collaboration and communication across distributed teams
  
  

Skills & Experience You Should Possess

• 8 years of experience in infrastructure project management
• Excellent project financials management skills (OpEx, Capital, Accrual Accounting)
• Proficiency using Financial and Procurement systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Infor)
• Excellent core Project Controls skills
• Proven ability to lead complex infrastructure initiatives independently
• Deep understanding of network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls
• Experience managing multi-site datacenter environments
• Experience managing technology design and deployments for new construction and remodels
• Strong proficiency in MS Project, Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  
  

Bonus Points If You Have

• Experience with network automation tools or scripting for maintenance and monitoring
• Familiarity with NTP infrastructure and fiber installation projects
• Experience directly working with Supply Chain processes to source, procure and pay vendors
• Experience deploying MS Teams, MS 365 or other collaboration tools
  
  

Education & Certifications You Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
• PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred

Final compensation is determined based on skill alignment, years of experience, and fair, market-based rates by geography.
