We are seeking a detail-oriented Microelectronics Assembler to join a leading technology company in Chelmsford, MA. The ideal candidate will have experience assembling electronic components, working under microscopes, following detailed work instructions, and maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble electronic components, subassemblies, and finished products following work instructions, drawings, and specifications.
- Read and interpret assembly instructions, engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
- Perform precision assembly of small and microelectronic components using microscopes and magnification equipment.
- Use hand tools such as tweezers, cutters, rulers, torque drivers, and screwdrivers.
- Utilize measuring instruments and electronic test equipment to verify product quality.
- Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) procedures and quality standards during assembly.
- Record accurate production data and complete required documentation.
- Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to improve quality and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience in electronics assembly, microelectronics assembly, PCB assembly, or precision manufacturing preferred.
- Ability to read and follow written work instructions and engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Comfortable working with very small components using microscopes or magnification equipment.
- Basic computer skills for work instructions, production tracking, and timekeeping.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong attendance, reliability, and willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with electrical or microelectronics assembly.
- Knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) procedures.
- Familiarity with electronic test equipment.
- Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 standards (or willingness to learn).
- Experience with PCB, SMT, or soldering is a plus.
