Property Accountant (or Senior)
A publicly traded company in the Baltimore, MD area is seeking a Property Accountant to support their growing team. This position offers a competitive salary bonus equity, and a generous benefits package.
Must have CPA or taken some test so far.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain financial integrity for a portfolio of properties to comply with GAAP, company policies, and contract arrangements
- Month-end close procedures for assigned properties
- Monthly journal entries for revenue, CAM accruals, and tenant billings; accruals for monthly operating expenses; variance analysis; ensure internal controls are maintained
- Review lease documents to ensure accuracy; assist with annual adjustment billings
- Assist with preparation and analysis of budgets and forecasts
- Ensure timely payment, recording, and coding of invoices
- Assist in maintaining books and records for an assigned property portfolio; prepare balance sheet reconciliations
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field is required; CPA preferred
- 2 years of relevant accounting experience
- Familiarity with accounting systems; Voyager preferred
- GAAP and SOX knowledge
- Public Accounting and/or Property Accounting experience are a plus
Salary : $75,000 - $110,000
