Senior AccountantAn organization in Rockville, MD is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and collaborative, with strong analytical skills and advanced Excel proficiency. This position partners closely with internal teams and leadership to interpret financial results, identify trends and risks, improve processes, and support accurate and timely financial close and reporting.This role will be fully in office for the first 90 days and will then transition into a hybrid role with 2 remote days. Salary range is $90-100k, commensurate with experience. Responsibilities:This role is a key member of the accounting team and is responsible for general accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reporting, variance analysis, accounts receivable, budgeting support, and audit preparation.The Senior Accountant works independently with limited oversight, ensures compliance with U.S. GAAP, and acts in a fiduciary capacity to safeguard organizational assets.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field3 years Accounting experienceStrong GAAP knowledgeAdvanced Excel skills required; Great Plains experience preferredAbility to manage competing priorities and maintain confidentiality
