Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager role based in the Freeport area. The Business Development Manager will identify and pursue new business opportunities, build and maintain relationships with key accounts in the chemical, petrochemical, and industrial sectors, and expand Triplex, Inc.’s presence in the Gulf Coast region. Responsibilities include prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting customer visits, preparing proposals and quotations, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure accurate product selection and pricing. The role will involve monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies, as well as attending industry events to represent the company. The Business Development Manager will be expected to meet or exceed sales targets, maintain a strong pipeline, and provide regular reporting and forecasts to leadership.
Qualifications
- Proven skills in B2B sales, account management, and business development, preferably within industrial, chemical, or petrochemical markets.
- Experience with technical or engineered products, including the ability to learn and communicate features of hoses, fittings, gaskets, valves, and related fluid transfer solutions.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build long-term, trust-based customer relationships.
- Capability to analyze market data, develop sales strategies, manage a pipeline, and use CRM or related sales tools effectively.
- Self-directed work style, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly within the Greater Houston area and across the Gulf Coast region as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Prior experience in fluid sealing, fluid transfer, or industrial distribution is highly desirable.
