Job Summary
The Music Director plays a pivotal role in shaping the musical vision and direction of Triplett Church. This position requires a passionate and skilled individual who can lead, mentor, and inspire musicians of all levels. The Music Director will be responsible for overseeing musical performances, conducting rehearsals, and fostering a collaborative environment that encourages creativity and growth, through the use of multiple musical styles.
Responsibilities
- Lead and conduct rehearsals, ensuring high-quality musical performance with skill levels available.
- Develop and implement music programs that align with the organization’s mission and goals.
- Mentor musicians, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and confidence.
- Collaborate with other artistic staff to create cohesive performances that engage audiences.
- Participate in Outreach events, such as Vacation Bible School.
- Participate in Special Programs, such as 4th of July and Christmas Cantata.
- Select repertoire that challenges musicians while being appropriate for their skill levels.
- Communicate effectively with choir members, church members, and the community to promote events and initiatives.
- Organize and seek out musical talent, to help grow the choir.
