We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Material Handler to join our team in Cut Off, LA. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Lumber in a Saw Mill Environment. Must have a strong focus on safely and efficiently handling raw materials and finished products within a saw mill or yard environment.Key Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and move lumber and other materials within the saw mill or yard.
- Operate forklifts, cranes, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect materials for quality and report any damages or discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production and shipping deadlines.
- Previous experience as a Saw Mill Material Handler or Yard Hand preferred.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and cranes.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in outdoor environments.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
