Experienced Maintenance Technician / Handyman
Pay: $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience
We are looking for a dependable, skilled, and hardworking Maintenance Technician / Handyman to join our team! The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience and can handle make-readies, general repairs, and ongoing property maintenance.
We need someone who takes pride in their work, can troubleshoot problems, work independently, and help keep our properties in great condition.
Job Responsibilities
- Complete rental property make-readies between tenants.
- Perform general maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
- Handle plumbing repairs, including faucets, toilets, drains, and minor leaks.
- Perform basic roofing repairs and identify potential roof issues.
- Complete minor electrical repairs and troubleshooting.
- HVAC experience is a plus.
- Repair doors, locks, drywall, fixtures, appliances, and other property items as needed.
- Maintain clean, safe, and well-kept properties.
- Respond to maintenance requests and complete work in a timely, professional manner.
- Identify maintenance issues and communicate needed repairs or supplies.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of maintenance or handyman experience required.
- Experience with make-readies and general property maintenance.
- Working knowledge of plumbing, roofing, and basic electrical repairs.
- HVAC knowledge or experience is preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and complete repairs with minimal supervision.
- Reliable, punctual, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Must have your own basic hand tools, if required for the position.
Compensation
- $20–$24 per hour, based on experience and skill level.
- Pay will reflect your hands-on experience and ability to perform repairs independently.
