What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lab Technician position at Triple M Dispensaries?
The Lab Technician works with the Director of Extraction and Processing to perform all duties related to extraction, processing and packaging operations with a focus on edibles production. This role is generally scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00A- 4:00P, with some occasional weekend work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Packages product
- Assist in monitoring processing supplies and inventory.
- Occasional product deliveries to our Mashpee retail Location
- Willingness to learn how to make cannabis infused products
- Keeps logs (electronic and paper) for proper tracking and reporting of all inventories.
- Inputs data and controls flow of production
- Cross-trains on and working alongside with the Cultivation team with the harvest, drying, trimming, weighing, and packaging of medical cannabis product line when required.
- Cleans any/all production areas to ensure no cross contamination occurs and ensures compliance with local and state health regulations
- Follows appropriate control measures to prevent mixing of batches and/or weights of batches.
- Performs in-process and post-process quality assurance testing and conducting visual inspections to ensure the product meets or exceeds TRIPLE M quality standards.
- Aspires to learn the components of the plant.
- Performing his/her duties in a safe manner and environment while adhering to all governmental regulations for this industry.
- Ensuring 100% compliance and accuracy involving all product tracking, product security, and product movement procedures.
- Following appropriate control measures to prevent mixing of cannabis strains and batches.
- Performing in-process and post-process quality assurance testing and conducting visual inspections to ensure all product meets or exceed TRIPLE M’s specifications and patients’ expectations. Such quality assurance work and reporting shall include but not be limited to: Recording and monitoring process conditions to ensure compliance to standard operating procedures.
- Proper weighing, data recording, and batch tracking throughout TRIPLE M’s process
- Assist in monitoring processing supplies and inventory.
- Willingness to learn how to make cannabis infused products.
- Occasional product deliveries.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Essential Requirements:
- At least one to three years of manufacturing and packaging experience with a focus on inventory tracking.
- Ensuring product safety, consumer safety and satisfaction, and high product quality. Kitchen experience is a plus.
- Strong Computer Skills
- Must demonstrate accountability, proactive behavior and strong attention to detail.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to pass an extensive background check in accordance with federal, state and local laws.
- Must have a valid Drivers License.
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, and twist.
- Must be comfortable carrying product totes, pushing carts, moving and making adjustments to process equipment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must have very strong and reliable work ethic.
- Must have strong communication skills.
- Must be able to work interpedently, and as part of a team environment.
