Responsibilities
- Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections while maintaining detailed records.
- Conduct financial analysis and account analysis to identify discrepancies, trends, or anomalies that require attention.
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory standards.
- Oversee payroll management using software such as ADP, Paychex, or UltiPro; ensure accurate payroll processing and tax compliance.
- Utilize accounting software like QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, or Ceridian for data entry, transaction processing, and reporting.
- Support internal controls compliance including SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) procedures and assist with audits related to governmental or non-profit accounting.
- Assist with budgeting activities and provide insights for financial planning; perform tax-related tasks as needed.
Experience
- Hands-on experience with various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or similar platforms.
- Strong skills in data entry, double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet management.
- Ability to analyze financial data accurately using math skills and attention to detail; experience with account analysis and budgeting is advantageous.
