About The Position...
The Construction Foreman will be responsible for performing and leading residential and commercial projects related to the company's construction division. We are searching for team members within the Greater Harrisburg area to support our ongoing and future projects.
- Assigns tasks and supervises the daily activities of Laborers and Carpenters on site.
- Manages and directs subcontractors on site in support of the assigned Superintendent to that project.
- Assists with renovations, fit-out work, and misc. labor tasks in support of Property Management related projects.
- Responsible for inventory control, organization, and maintaining cleanliness of storage trailers, hand/power tools, and equipment.
- Inspects ongoing work and tasks assigned to team members to ensure it meets quality standards and project requirements.
- Ensure all work is performed according to plans, specifications, and building codes.
- Performs basic concrete related tasks including but not limited to mixing bags and setting posts.
- Assists with receiving and scheduling site deliveries in coordination with the assigned Superintendent.
- If skilled - Assists in generating material lists and ordering basic materials for projects.
- If skilled - Assists in producing budgets for material lists if needed.
- If skilled - Assists in formulating, assigning, and executing punch lists for projects.
- If skilled - brings in suppliers and can fill in for the assigned Superintendent in their absence.
What we are looking for from you...
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Must be able to complete construction work including but not limited to: digging, lifting, climbing ladders/stairs, and entering trench excavations
- Must have basic tools needed to fulfill role - List will be provided at time of interview
- Must be able to read and interpret construction plans/blueprints
- Minimum of 8 years of combined trade-related construction experience is required
- Must be able to keep track of working hours and assigned tasks via mobile device
- Comfortable/proficient in the use of technology and programs including, but not limited to Microsoft Office, Adobe, or other construction software
- Experience/Education at a Vo-Tech or Trade School is highly preferred but not required
- OSHA Certification is highly preferred but not required - will be required to obtain within one year of employment
