Duties
- Install, modify, and repair ductwork systems according to schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to cut, assemble, and secure duct components with precision
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and building plans to ensure accurate installation of HVAC duct systems
- Collaborate with project managers, service technicians, and other trades such as plumbing and electrical teams to coordinate installation activities
- Troubleshoot issues related to ductwork and mechanical systems during installation or maintenance phases
- Conduct inspections of installed duct systems for leaks, proper airflow, and compliance with safety standards
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including inspection reports and installation logs
Qualifications
- Proven construction experience with a strong background in HVAC system installation or repair
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and building automation systems
- Knowledge of mechanical systems repair
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools
- Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems including boilers and ammonia refrigeration is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience as a van driver is advantageous
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately; experience with electrical systems diagnostics is beneficial
- Willingness to work in various environments including construction sites and commercial buildings; physical ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights
