Responsibilities
- Operate lawn care equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools to maintain healthy lawns and gardens
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including planting, pruning, edging, and mulching to enhance the appearance of outdoor spaces
- Use power tools and machinery like excavators and other construction equipment safely and effectively for various landscaping projects
- Assist with hardscape installations such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other outdoor features
- Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and basic tree health assessments to promote safety and growth
- Support irrigation system installation and maintenance to ensure proper watering of landscaped areas
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work sites while adhering to safety protocols at all times
Requirements
- Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in landscaping and construction
- Previous experience or strong interest in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or gardening is preferred
- Ability to operate small machinery such as excavators or snow plowing equipment is a plus
- Knowledge of horticulture principles and tree care practices is desirable
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy materials when necessary
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward safety and quality standards
- Willingness to learn new skills related to landscaping, hardscape installation, irrigation systems, and equipment maintenance
