Internship Description: Public Relations Intern (In-Person, College Credit Only/Unpaid)
Position: Spring Public Relations Intern from January 2026 - May 2026
Location: Nashville, TN
Position overview: Triple 7 PR is currently seeking interns to join our Nashville team in person on Music Row. The internship is designed for college students looking to earn college credit while gaining hands-on experience in PR, working closely with seasoned executives in a boutique office setting. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with interest in PR and media, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and interest in working collaboratively with others.
Qualifications:
- Curiosity and/or understanding of media and journalism
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Drive (Excel and Word docs)
- Attention to detail and a proactive, positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Sophomore to Senior year college students (or rising for summer interns) receiving college credit for their internship
- Personal computer (Mac preferred)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct media research and build client pitch lists
- Draft initial press releases, media pitches and other communication materials
- Conduct research on industry trends and provide competitive analysis
- Identify client opportunities by mining press social media channels
- Maintain and update databases and media contact lists
- Provide general administrative support to the PR team
- Monitor media coverage and compile coverage reports for clients and executives*
- Assist with planning and execution of events, client project launches and more*
