Position Overview:
Tripforth/Ascend Maintenance is seeking a reliable, hands-on Vacation Rental Maintenance Technician to join our operations team. This role is essential to ensuring our properties are guest-ready and maintained to the highest standards. You will be responsible for a wide range of maintenance duties, pre-arrival inspections, minor repairs, and coordination with the operations team to ensure guest satisfaction.
Core Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and on-demand maintenance at vacation rental homes (interior and exterior)
- Conduct detailed pre-arrival property inspections and submit reports via mobile app
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliance issues
- Clean and organize exterior property areas as needed (trash, debris, walkways, etc.)
- Provide routine hot tub and spa maintenance (training provided if needed)
- Deliver and install replacement items such as small appliances, furniture, or linens
- Communicate with Operations Team to report maintenance issues and status updates
- Inventory and assist in tracking warehouse tools, parts, and supplies
- Ensure all properties meet health, safety, and cleanliness standards
- Support the Logistics and Operations team as needed with property readiness
- Uphold the company’s high service standards and represent the brand professionally
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of general maintenance or handyman experience preferred
- Experience in vacation rentals, hospitality, or hotel operations is a plus
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience required
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable personal transportation
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
Required Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability
- Proficiency using mobile applications for task management and reporting (training provided)
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Self-motivated with a positive, team-focused attitude
- Comfortable working independently in the field with minimal supervision
