What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cloud Security Engineer position at Tripadvisor?
We are looking for a Cloud Security Engineer to join Tripadvisor's growing Security Team, based at our HQ in Needham.
What You’ll Do

Work with teams to resolve security issues within their CI/CD pipeline and cloud configurations

Perform risk assessments and document remediation steps for compliance standards such as NIST 800, SOX, PCI, etc.

Educate teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing associated training as required

Develop best practices for container and serverless security in a hybrid cloud environment
-
Research requirements to determine system feasibility, costs, benefits, or functional requirements

Help shift security left and empower developers to manage security of their domains
What We’re Looking For

Knowledge/experience in continuous integration technology (e.g. Chef, Puppet, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, or related tools).

Develop / Integrate security into the Software Development Life Cycle

Experience performing technical security assessments and remediation

Comprehensive understanding of Terraform, CloudFormation, and/or other IAAC offerings

Proficiency and understanding of key differences between most popular cloud provider solutions and cloud orchestration tools (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.)

Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential; happy spending much of the day working with developers and members of other functional areas.
