Quality Assurance Lead

Job Description

Triosim Corporation is seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Lead with strong knowledge of CNC machining processes and the ability to perform precision component inspection for quality assurance. This key role supports our machine shop operations by generating accurate job estimates, planning production workflows, and ensuring machined parts meet strict quality and dimensional requirements. Responsibilities Estimating & Job Costing

• Review RFQs, blueprints, CAD files, and customer specifications to develop precise cost and time estimates.
• Determine machining strategy, tooling requirements, and optimal process routing for CNC milling, turning, and fabrication jobs.
• Collaborate with engineering and sales to ensure competitive and accurate pricing. Production Planning
• Create job travelers, process routings, and work instructions for machine shop operations.
• Schedule and coordinate work orders to meet production deadlines and maintain efficient workflow.
• Update ERP/MRP systems with material requirements, BOM structures, and job milestones.
• Interface with procurement, machining, and fabrication teams to resolve production bottlenecks. Quality Assurance & Inspection
• Inspect machined components using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
• Perform First Article Inspection (FAI), in-process checks, and final inspections.
• Ensure compliance with GD&T requirements, surface finish specifications, and dimensional tolerances.
• Document inspection results and prepare conformance reports as needed. Continuous Improvement
• Recommend process improvements to reduce waste, machining cycle times, and production costs.
• Support initiatives for quality enhancement and operational efficiency. Qualifications
• 3–10 years of experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes (milling & turning).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Hands-on experience with precision measurement tools and QA inspection methods.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems such as JobBOSS, Epicor, Oracle, or similar.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to balance multiple priorities.
• CAD/CAM familiarity (Mastercam, SolidWorks) a plus.
• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience preferred.
