How You'll Contribute
- A Respiratory Therapist who excels in this role:
- Delivers routine therapy as delegated by a therapist.
- Responds to codes and calls for emergent assistance. Assesses patient condition and delivers appropriate treatment.
- Monitors, records, and communication patient condition.
- Educates the patient and family about the patient's illness and provides information about community support groups and other resources.
- Monitors, receives stocks, and distributes respiratory care supplies and medical gas cylinders.
- Maintains storage areas with required supply levels and equipment.
- Disassembles, cleans, and sterilizes equipment, and perform preventative maintenance and calibration of machines.

- (BLS) Basic Life Support required one month from hire/transfer date (ACLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support six months from hire/transfer date; (PALS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support six months from hire/transfer date, NRP
