POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced CNC 5-Axis Mill Operator to join our team. In this role, you will machine precision components from billet, castings, and forgings, operating with skill and confidence while upholding Trio's commitment to quality and precision.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Operate 5-Axis CNC milling machines and machining centers to produce high-precision components
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, technical drawings, and specifications
• Set up and secure fixtures, cutting tools, and work holding equipment
• Monitor machine performance and identify out-of-tolerance conditions before they become problems
• Perform routine machine maintenance including oil levels, coolant levels, and general cleanliness
• Verify finished parts against specifications and complete all required documentation
• Communicate and collaborate with department leads and setup personnel to resolve machining challenges
• Apply knowledge of G/M codes, tool geometry, and basic speed/feed calculations
• Safely handle parts up to 50 lbs; utilize overhead cranes as required
QUALIFICATIONS
• 2–5 years of CNC machining experience; 5-axis experience preferred
• Proficient in blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation
• Working knowledge of G-code/M-code fundamentals and basic trigonometry
• Familiarity with standard machine shop equipment and precision measuring tools
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Strong verbal communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
• Must be able to read and write in English
