Job Summary

KBR is seeking an experienced Aviation Modernization and Sustainment Analyst to support CH-47F Block II Rapid Fielding Avionics Modernization efforts. This position will provide technical expertise and operational insight to evaluate avionics integration, modernization initiatives, obsolescence challenges, testing activities, and fielding strategies associated with one of the Army's most critical aviation platforms. The successful candidate will work closely with government engineers, program managers, and operational stakeholders to assess risks, develop mitigation strategies, and support acquisition and sustainment decisions that impact cost, schedule, and performance. This role is ideal for a senior aviation professional with extensive CH-47 operational experience, technical aviation knowledge, and a proven ability to translate operational requirements into actionable recommendations. Roles and Responsibilities

• Analyze CH-47F Block II avionics integration, modernization, sustainment, and obsolescence issues and provide recommendations to government stakeholders.

• Research and assess avionics component obsolescence impacts on rapid fielding schedules, system readiness, lifecycle supportability, and operational effectiveness.

• Develop and present technical assessments, risk analyses, and mitigation strategies supporting modernization initiatives and engineering change proposals.

• Support configuration management activities, requirements analysis, hardware evaluations, and technical studies associated with CH-47 avionics systems.

• Participate in engineering reviews, integrated product teams, technical interchange meetings, and program management activities supporting modernization efforts.

• Evaluate avionics testing results and provide recommendations regarding fielding plans, supportability strategies, and operational implementation approaches.

• Assist with acquisition planning efforts by providing operational expertise, technical recommendations, and sustainment alternatives that improve program outcomes.

• Identify opportunities for cost reduction, schedule acceleration, and performance improvements across avionics modernization programs.

• Develop reports, briefings, and technical documentation supporting decision-making by Program Executive Office Aviation (PEO Aviation) and associated government organizations.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum 20 years of Army aviation experience with significant CH-47 aircraft operational, training, or leadership experience.

• Current Secret security clearance.

• Experience serving as a Standardization Pilot, Instructor Pilot, Instrument Flight Examiner, or equivalent senior aviation position supporting Army flight operations.

• Demonstrated experience leading aviation operations, mission planning, readiness activities, and aviation safety programs.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

• Experience supporting technical evaluations, aviation requirements development, system testing, configuration management, or modernization initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive CH-47F experience, including Block II modernization, fielding, sustainment, or operational employment.

• FAA Commercial Pilot and/or Flight Instructor certifications.

• Experience supporting PEO Aviation, PM Cargo, DEVCOM, Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM), or other Army aviation acquisition organizations.

• Experience briefing senior military or government leadership on aviation operations, modernization initiatives, acquisition strategies, or technical issues.
