Join our team as a Senior Mainframe Application Programmer on a long-term W2 contract (12 months). This position requires an initial commitment of 5 days per week onsite (M-F). Flexibility for up to two (2) days of teleworking may be introduced after six (6) months, contingent upon current project requirements. Job Description:The Senior Application Programmer for Mainframe Systems will possess knowledge and experience in applications software development principles and methods sufficient to participate in the design, development, testing and implementation of new or modified applications software. Skills:Strong background using IMS, JCL, CICS, and SPUFI via COBOL and DB2. Experience Required: Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in systems design and programming.Experience with IMS/DB2/COBOL/CICS programming in a mainframe environment. Experience with Databases - DB2, IMS, ADABAS, FOCUS.Experience with Tools & Utilities - MVS JCL, MVS TSO/ISPF, IBM OPTIM, FILE Manager. Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in IT-related or Computer Science field.
