What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Design & Transition Analyst position at Trinus Corporation?
We are seeking an experienced Service Design & Transition Analyst to support enterprise IT initiatives by ensuring new and enhanced technology services are successfully designed, validated, and transitioned into production. This role is ideal for someone with strong ITSM and ITIL expertise who enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver operationally ready services with minimal deployment risk.
What You'll Do
- Design and document end-to-end IT services, including service models, SLAs, support models, security, and continuity plans.
- Develop and maintain Service Design Packages (SDPs) and operational documentation.
- Lead or support Service Transition activities for new and modified IT services.
- Coordinate service readiness, operational acceptance, knowledge transfer, training, and Early Life Support (ELS).
- Conduct service readiness reviews, impact assessments, and risk evaluations.
- Partner with project teams, Service Desk, Operations, and stakeholders to ensure smooth production handoffs.
- Coordinate Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT) and Service Validation activities.
- Maintain service documentation, support playbooks, and knowledge articles within ServiceNow.
- Drive continuous service improvement while ensuring alignment with ITIL best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 4 years of experience in ITSM or IT Operations, with a strong focus on Service Design and Transition.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL v3/v4, including:
- Service Design
- Service Transition
- Service Validation & Testing
- Change Enablement
- Experience supporting or managing transitions of enterprise IT services.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms.
- Experience developing service documentation, including SLAs, Service Design Packages (SDPs), and support models.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Experience working with both internal and external partners to deliver service excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of Oracle Cloud ERP and EPM environments.
- Experience supporting Finance Transformation or Managed Services initiatives.
- Background in Financial Services or other regulated industries.
