Compressed Air Service Technician

Summary: 

The TriNova Cmpressed Air Service Technician is a field-based, customer facing role that installs, services, audits, and maintains AIR Systems at customer sites with minimal supervision. 

Essential Functions: 

• Perform service/repair of piston and rotary screw air compressors.
• Perform service/repair on multi-brand compressors; both oil flooded and oil free. 
• Perform service/repair or refrigerated/desiccant air dryers.
• Navigate multi-brand compressor controllers to obtain data to assist in troubleshooting air compressors.
• Assist the customer via telephone with product information and problem solving. 
• Provide technical assistance to inside support staff for the quoting of multi-year maintenance contracts as well as individual quotes. 
• Visually inspect, test, and recommend changes of existing air equipment to ensure required installation meets manufacturer’s standards for operation. 
• Provide accurate, professional, and timely documentation of service calls via field service reports. 
• Determine possible system faults prior to departing for on-site service calls to determine test equipment and spare parts that may be required. 
• Communicate effectively with customers and principals, as well as with TriNova Sales, Management, Account Managers, and Engineers, providing information regarding the nature of problems and course of action to be taken and schedule for completion of work.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities

• High attention to detail and organizational skills
• Industrial maintenance experience with a strong mechanical and/or electrical background
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Desiccant air dryer experience
• Air audit experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Instrumentation knowledge
• HVAC experience

Education and Experience

• Associate degree in a technical field required, OR a combination of education and experience.
• 2 – 5 years of related experience
• CAGI or AirMaster certification
• HVAC 608 Cert Universal
• Valid driver’s license

Travel

• Some local travel may be required
