Employment Type: Full time Shift: Evening Shift Description: Performs daily inventory management duties related to the acquisitions and distribution of goods to support the perioperative services department. Duties include management of inventory as it relates to picking products and replenishing. Responsible for pulling products for OR cases as assigned. Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions. Pull OR supplies and instruments to ensure case carts are accurate and deliver to the OR. Distributes medical supplies and equipment to OR/Surgical areas, while monitoring case cart levels for specific products to assure that appropriate levels are established. Identify excess inventory and returning instruments. Notifies leader of gaps in the daily process. Participates in the put away and validation process of perpetual inventory items. Responsible for maintaining clean and orderly sterile locations, and labeling case carts. Acts as liaison between clinical staff and supply chain management as needed. Other duties as needed and assigned by Supervisor. Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health’s Organizational Integrity Program, Stands of Conduct, as well as other policies and procedures to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior. Education High School Diploma or GED required, or equivalent relevant experience. Preferred Training Previous perioperative services or inventory management experience preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite preferred. Experience Less than one (1) year of related experience required. Interpersonal Skills Regular interaction with a variety of individuals, including coworkers, customers, the public, and external contacts. Communication is typically brief and straightforward in nature. Requires a limited level of interpersonal skills. Interactions are generally non-stressful and involve uncomplicated situations. Working Conditions Minimal exposure to adverse environmental conditions. Occasional minor undesirable or unpleasant environmental factors may be present; however, the work environment is generally safe with minimal health risk. No special safety equipment or unusual precautions required. Exposure to minor adverse conditions is limited to 10% or less of the workday.
