We are looking for a professional with experience delivering services from a patient centered perspective to a diverse population of vulnerable individuals. The ideal candidate will possess specialization in delivering services to people struggling with serious and persistent mental illness and/or substance abuse disorders, will have strong written and communication skills and a working knowledge of current mental health treatment modalities. The ideal clinician will have experience providing mental health care grounded in theory and best practice, including but not limited to: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Exposure Therapy Have experience and a comfort level treating patients with a wide variety of disorders including but not limited to: Eating Disorders Personality Disorders Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Anxiety Disorders/Phobias Mood Disorders/Psychosis/Thought Disorders Quality of Life: Where career opportunities and quality of life converge Advancement: Strong orientation program Generous tuition allowance Opportunity for career and professional development What you will do: The Social Worker will be a member of our interdisciplinary treatment team, working with adults with a wide range of psychiatric and substance abuse issues. Duties include individual therapy, group therapy, treatment planning, case coordination, and community collaboration. Responsibilities: Assess, diagnose and treat psychological, behavioral and emotional disorders Provide specialized skills and mental health therapy for clients. Identify barriers which impact optimal patient functioning Ensure patients receive appropriate resources in most appropriate setting Conduct screening assessments, including trauma and depression screens and suicide risk screens. Participate in team meetings, program-wide staff meetings, and mandated training Provide crisis intervention Participate in and support implementation of evidence-based/evidence-informed therapeutic model(s). Ensure that services are delivered in compliance with NYS, OMH and federal standards, as well as standards for professional ethics. Serve as a resource for program staff on factors that affect youth functioning, including trauma, domestic violence, mental illness, and substance use. Participate and promote a positive, supportive and cooperative team environment. What you will need: Master's degree in Social Work is required. NYS LMSW or LCSW licensure is required. Minimum of 1 year of experience in Medical, Psychiatric, or Health Care setting is required Pay Range: $30.00 - $43.08 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
