Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: General Summary: The Resource Coordinator manages the materials, supplies, equipment, and environment within the unit. This includes ordering supplies, processing purchase orders, and assisting with the selection of supplies, equipment and instruments. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure sufficient equipment and supply availability on each unit. Additionally, this position is responsible for maintaining all unit equipment in working condition. This position is also responsible for conducting unit safety rounds and for resolving any safety or aesthetic environmental problems within the unit. This position supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital through its focus on improving the experience of the patient Hours: 8a-5pm//{4} 9 hour shifts) Minimum licensure/certification required (if applicable): BLS Minimum Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required: Degree in Health Care field preferred (Relevant experience considered in lieu of degree) Experience in quality improvement processes Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form Exposure to systems processing Ability to work collaboratively and accept delegated tasks as assigned Ability to anticipate the needs of the unit Mastery of Word, Excel, Power Point applications Working Conditions: May have to lift up to 50 lbs Long periods of computer work, looking at computer screen, typing Frequent periods of multitasking and meeting deadlines Reporting Relationship: Reports directly to the nurse manager of the unit. Works collaboratively with unit staff nurses in determining unit needs. Scope The Resource Coordinator serves the unit to ensure clinical staff have the necessary resources to meet patient needs as a materials, supply, and equipment processing and maintenance resource person for the nursing staff and works closely with the Materials Management, Maintenance, Purchasing, Engineering, and Environmental Services departments as well as outside vendors and contractors.
