Employment Type: Part time Shift: Day Shift Description: ORIENTATION/TRAINING IS DAYSHIFT 8A-4:30P MON-FRI FOR 2-3 WEEKS Includes time in Springfield at Mercy Medical Center More details below Position Purpose The Patient Access Representative is responsible for pre-registration, registration and admission functions in Central Registration at Saint Mary's Hospital What you will do Perform complete and accurate pre-registrations, registration, and admission functions Verify insurance requirements, obtain and understand insurance benefits Secure signatures and all other key information needed to complete billing and collection functions Collect or arrange for co-insurance and/or other deposit payment amounts Refer self-pay patients to financial counselors; answers patient questions Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, college preferred Medical terminology skills Relevant medical office, hospital / physicians billing or patient registration experience preferred Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred Position Highlights and Benefits Part time 24hrs/week on days Every other weekend-- Differentials apply ORIENTATION/TRAINING IS DAYSHIFT 8A-4:30P MON-FRI FOR 2-3 WEEKS.
