Receives and processes specimens, examines specimens and records test results. Analyzes results using knowledge of test principles and clinical significance. Analyzes test quality per established performance standards. Provides test result information to approved callers and alerts appropriate personnel to abnormal test results for immediate action. JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES Education: Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or military training equivalency or equivalent. Licensure: Certification within 1 year of employment preferred by a nationally recognized professional registry. Experience: Clinical laboratory experience of at least six months is preferred.
