We will be the most trusted health partner for life. **Looking for champions to join our growing Team!** Be part of the change and transformation happening at Loyola Medicine - Radiology department! *Senior level Tech experienced (Mammo) Specialist required* Hours: Day shift position Monday -Friday Saturday rotation/ad hoc coverage with department needs Locations: All (LUMC & off sites) About the Job In this role the Breast Imaging - Mammo Technical Specialist, in collaboration with the Radiology Leadership, including Physician Leader(s), functions as the technical "subject matter expert". This position is charged with the development & implementation of all clinical imaging protocols for the region. The Mammo Modality Technical Specialist acts as the chief educator/super trainer for all staff, Clinical Instructor, Scanner/procedure Accreditations, oversees all Safety protocols and all research projects, directs quality for the modality, and serves as a liaison between the equipment vendor, physicians, & staff. In addition, this person performs technical procedures, applying modality specific techniques that require independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative to provide the physician with the highest quality of diagnostic information. Here is what you'll need Required: Associate Degree; graduate from an accredited two-year Radiology Mammo Program, required; OR equivalent training acquired via work experience Specific Degree(s): Graduate of a CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs) approved school of Radiology - Mammo Technology 3-5 years of previous job-related experience May require on-call, weekend, holiday and emergency coverage as department needs warrant. Requires travelling to offsite locations as needed Preferred: Industry work experience as Ultrasound Application Specialist with a major medical equipment vendor. Licensure/Certifications Required: CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) from American Heart Association ONLY ARRT (M) Mammo Required professional Skills Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills Possesses the interpersonal skills to positively and effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to prioritize and deal with a variety of situations simultaneously.
