Employment Type: Full time Shift: Rotating Shift Description: Provides pharmaceutical care, both distributive and clinical, to patients of the Medical Center including information on safe and effective use of medications. Able to act in and oversee all functional areas of the department. Leads the day-to-day operations and personnel activities of the Pharmacy department. Actively re-directs both professional and support staff as needed to meet the daily demands and workload of the department. Provides work activities, establishes work schedules and staffing requirements for pharmacists and technicians. Provides PEP talks for technical staff and assists with human resource functions including training, performance evaluations and disciplinary actions. General Requirements: Education: Bachelor's Degree Field OF Study: Pharmacy Licensures/Registration: Registered Pharmacist in Iowa. Pharmacist applicants obtaining their initial licensure must obtain their Iowa Pharmacist Registration within 6 months of hire. Those applicants registered in another state must obtain their Iowa Pharmacist Registration within 6 months of hire. Valid drivers license.
