Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: Position Purpose Supports pharmacists in all aspects of pharmacy activities. This includes maintaining Pyxis stock levels by loading and refilling medications including narcotics for all in-patients. Prepares and compounds neonatal oral liquids, and other extemporaneous products. Packages and distributes drugs and sterile products. What you will do Perform general pharmacy duties by assisting pharmacists with medication dispensing duties including deliveries, checking stock levels and picking medications. Answer telephones, assist nurses trouble-shooting Pyxis questions and drawer maintenance Inspect assigned nursing units for proper drug storage, stability and expiration dates as well as maintaining proper drug reliability in the pharmacy Maintain records of orders, processes patient charges and collects productivity statistics Minimum Qualifications Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a hospital-based, community college or military technician training program preferable.
