PLACEMENT WORKER

Now Hiring: Placement WorkerLocation: Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91701We are currently seeking an Placement Worker to join our foster care team. The Placement Worker shall be responsible for representing the Agency and acting as a Liaison to the Department of Children’s Services and Probation Department with the intent of soliciting and accepting potential placements from all placing agencies. Other duties include but are not limited to: Demonstrate the ability to build strong relationships with placing agencies and Trinity Youth Services families. Represent the Agency and act as a Liaison with the Department of Children and Family Services, Child Protective Services, and Probation Departments. Solicit and accept potential placements from all available placing agencies. With the approval of the Intake Director, make decisions to match and arrange the placement of foster youth with resource home vacancies which will result in a high degree of success for both child(ren) and families. Conduct telephone interviews with County Social Workers to obtain detailed information on a foster youth once a placement has been confirmed. Complete all intake paperwork as required. Coordinate placement date, time and transportation between resource parent, County Social Worker, and Trinity Youth Services Office Directors. Compile and maintain statistical information for each youth who is referred, placed and terminated. Alternate after-hours calls to accept referrals and make placement matches. Skills/Education: High School diploma required; some college coursework in social work or child development preferred. Demonstrated ability and leadership through a minimum of two years experience in Foster Care. Must be organized, able to establish priorities and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. Must be proficient in the use of computers, including Email, Microsoft Word and Excel. Must be 21 years of age or older and able to pass a physical examination; drug clearance; criminal background check and Child Abuse Index check. Must possess a valid California driver’s license with clean DMV history and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and be insurable by Trinity’s insurance carrier. Should have an interest in working directly with youth in accordance with the general requirements as established in the California Administrative Code, Title 22. Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus. Annual salary: $70,304; Bilingual salary: $72,321.60.
