Ability to commit to the full duration of the program schedule, including any required training sessions. Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and youth empowerment. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, or a related field. Previous experience in literacy instruction or youth mentorship programs. Cultural competency and experience working with diverse populations. First aid and CPR certification. Experience in conflict resolution and classroom management. Responsibilities: Facilitate daily educational and enrichment activities aligned with the Freedom School curriculum to support literacy and personal growth. Mentor and build meaningful relationships with students, providing guidance, encouragement, and support. Collaborate with fellow staff and community partners to create a cohesive and inclusive learning environment. Monitor and assess student progress, adapting approaches to meet diverse learning needs and styles. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance instructional skills and cultural competency. Skills: The Servant Leader utilizes strong communication skills daily to connect with students and colleagues, fostering trust and open dialogue. Organizational skills are essential for planning and executing engaging lessons and activities that meet curriculum goals.
