Mechanical Field Services TA / Engineer

Role Description: The Mechanical Field Services TA / Engineer is a full-time position. This role is responsible for supervising and performing mechanical field service activities on gas and steam turbine units, including installation, maintenance, repairs, and inspections during scheduled and unscheduled outages. Daily tasks include overseeing mechanical work scopes, coordinating field crews, reviewing technical documentation, and ensuring that all work aligns with safety, quality, and industry standards. The Mechanical Field Services TA / Engineer will diagnose mechanical issues, recommend corrective actions, and support troubleshooting in collaboration with project managers and other technical staff. The role also requires accurate documentation of field activities, clear communication with customers, and contribution to continuous improvement of service procedures and technical practices.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical engineering and mechanical systems knowledge, with experience in Mechanical Engineering and Rotating Equipment applications.
• Proficiency in Maintenance planning and execution for turbine or heavy industrial equipment.
• Ability to perform detailed Inspection tasks, including documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
• Experience with interpreting technical drawings and mechanical layouts.
• Previous field service or outage experience on gas or steam turbines or other rotating equipment is highly beneficial. (New to the industry? We will train; please apply)
• Working knowledge of safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and industry best practices in power generation or heavy industry.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, engineering drawings, and maintenance procedures.
• Strong problem-solving skills, clear communication abilities, and capacity to work in diverse teams and varying site conditions.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites for outages and extended field assignments as needed.
• Relevant technical degree or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field, or equivalent field experience.
