Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Video Pipe and Manhole Inspection Specialist focused on sewer and stormwater infrastructure. In this vital role, you will utilize advanced video inspection equipment to assess the condition of pipelines and manholes, ensuring the integrity and functionality of critical underground systems.
This is a temporary position with possibility of going full time. Rate is increased due to temporary status. Monthly performance based bonus opportunity. The contract consisting of 40 miles of pipe and 500 manholes will last from June to October.
Responsibilities
- Operate specialized CCTV (Closed-Circuit Television) inspection equipment to conduct thorough video inspections of sewer and stormwater pipelines and manholes.
- Analyze video footage and data collected during inspections to identify defects, blockages, corrosion, root intrusions, or other structural issues.
- Document inspection findings accurately through detailed reports, including schematics, blueprints, and data logs for future reference and maintenance planning.
- Perform quality control checks on collected data to ensure accuracy and completeness, supporting effective decision-making for repairs or upgrades.
- Collaborate with construction teams, engineers, and project managers to interpret inspection results and develop actionable recommendations aligned with construction management standards.
- Assist in blueprint reading and schematic analysis to understand pipeline layouts and construction specifications for targeted inspections.
- Maintain safety protocols on construction sites or in confined spaces during inspections, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
Skills
- Strong understanding of construction processes, site safety procedures, and quality inspection standards within infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and construction plans related to pipeline systems.
- Excellent analysis skills to interpret video footage, identify issues accurately, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Experience with construction site operations, including data collection, documentation, and quality control practices.
- Knowledge of pipeline systems’ design principles and construction management practices for effective inspection strategies.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments while maintaining attention to detail.
