Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform corrective maintenance on residential solar electric systems.
- Install, maintain, and repair communication systems for solar inverters (cell cards, hard lines, LAN connections).
- Adapt quickly to last-minute schedule changes to handle urgent service calls.
- Manage daily appointments efficiently to maximize productivity.
- Interact with homeowners and team members, providing professional, courteous, and knowledgeable support.
- Document all service work with photos, detailed notes, and system updates.
- Coordinate warranty claims, repairs, and replacements directly with inverter manufacturers.
- Maintain safety standards while working on rooftops and with electrical systems.
- 1 years of PV installation, solar service, or technical field experience.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret 3-line diagrams, plan sets, and equipment specifications.
- Familiarity with NEC codes preferred.
- Proven ability to research, analyze, and resolve technical issues quickly and resourcefully.
- Excellent communication skills via phone, email, and in-person.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Must be able to lift and carry 40 lbs and work safely on residential rooftops.
- Prior solar experience preferred, but candidates with strong technical skills from related trades (electrical, HVAC, telecom) are encouraged to apply.
