The Director of Operations serves as a strategic operational leader responsible for driving execution, process improvement, and organizational performance across the company's residential solar operations. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), this position partners with executive leadership to identify operational opportunities, lead high-impact initiatives, optimize business processes, and implement scalable solutions that improve operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability. The Director exercises independent judgment and discretion in evaluating business operations, recommending strategic improvements, and leading cross-functional initiatives that support organizational objectives.

Supervisory Responsibilities
- This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
- Provides cross-functional leadership by coordinating project teams and influencing operational initiatives across multiple departments.
- May lead cross-functional workgroups, project teams, and strategic initiatives without direct reporting authority.
- Partner directly with the Chief Operating Officer to execute strategic operational initiatives across the solar business.
- Evaluate existing operational processes and identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, customer experience, and profitability.
- Lead enterprise-wide process improvement initiatives designed to increase operational efficiency and scalability.
- Independently manage high-priority operational projects from planning through implementation while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Analyze operational data, develop key performance indicators (KPIs), and create executive dashboards that support informed business decisions.
- Monitor operational performance metrics and recommend corrective actions or process improvements based on business analysis.
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Field Services, Finance, and other departments to ensure operational alignment and successful execution of strategic initiatives.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and develop scalable solutions that improve installation throughput and cycle times.
- Evaluate business processes and recommend organizational improvements that support company growth and margin expansion.
- Facilitate implementation of operational best practices and standardized workflows across departments.
- Serve as a strategic resource to executive leadership by providing recommendations supported through operational analysis and performance metrics.
- Lead change management initiatives associated with new operational processes, technologies, and business improvements.
- Exercise sound independent judgment in prioritizing projects, allocating resources, and resolving complex operational issues.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive operations leadership experience, preferably within residential solar, construction, manufacturing, or a related operational environment.
- Demonstrated success leading process improvement initiatives and implementing scalable operational solutions.
- Experience partnering with executive leadership on strategic operational initiatives.
- Lean, Six Sigma, Project Management Professional (PMP), or similar certifications are preferred.
- Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.
- Ability to attend meetings and collaborate across corporate and branch locations as needed.
